Cambodia is moving further into digital trade services with the expanded use of electronic Certificates of Origin, or e COs, a move designed to make export procedures faster, more transparent and more secure. Under the new system, exporters and manufacturers will be able to prepare, submit and pay for Certificates of Origin online through the ministry’s CO Automation System. Applications will still be reviewed and approved by the ministry, ensuring that digital processing does not remove the official verification required for origin certification.
